We are currently seeking an Accounts Administrator with a can-do attitude to provide exceptional support to our Takanini and Karaka branches, as well as other locations as required.
The candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, organising accounts, and handling administrative tasks related to accounts. They are responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and generating financial reports. In essence, they ensure the smooth operation of financial processes within an organisation. It's a role that requires attention to detail, organisation, and a strong understanding of financial concepts.
We are ideally looking for a graduate student who has been in an internship or has 1-2 years of accounting experience.
Key Duties:- Process payroll weekly in Xero and manage the payroll system
- Send commission invoices to payroll and solicitors
- Perform daily bank reconciliation, supplier payments, PAYE filing, fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, manual journals, and manage accounts receivable/payable in Xero
- Provide backup support for rental accounts in Palace
- Handle Accounts Payable by approving and processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring marketing invoices are correctly charged in VaultRe
- Handling Accounts Receivable by entering and reconciling marketing invoices and vendor/staff invoicing; following up on unrecovered advertising with Operations Manager
- Authorise stationery and supply purchases and approve related invoices
- Train and induct new admin staff on accounts processes
- Assist Operations Manager with projects, handle filing, data entry, daily email queries, mail, errands, and banking
- Stay up to date with organisational changes and business developments
Qualifications and Skills:- Previous experience in accounts/accounting and a relevant qualification is essential
- Familiarity with Xero software
- A background in data entry
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to effectively coordinate and prioritise tasks
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with real estate industry practices is a plus but not required
