    About Us

    We're an import vehicle compliance centre helping ensure vehicles meet New Zealand's road safety standards. Our Waltham-based operation works closely with regulatory bodies like VINZ and NZTA to prepare vehicles for inspection, along with carrying out mechanical repairs and servicing.

    About the Role

    We're seeking a hands-on and proactive Operations Lead to support the day-to-day running of our Christchurch compliance centre. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical knowledge, and a passion for driving performance, teamwork, and process consistency.

    As Operations Lead, you'll be responsible for coordinating workshop activity, supporting the team, and ensuring a smooth operational flow. You'll be a key liaison between our staff, customers, and external inspectors (such as VINZ), with a strong focus on vehicle readiness, safety, and service standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Support the daily operations of the compliance workshop
    • Work with a team of 15+ Hoist/Trim Technicians, Mechanics, and Logistics staff
    • Maintain clear communication with customers and ensure a high standard of service
    • Oversee preparation of vehicles to NZTA/VINZ inspection standards
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with inspectors
    • Help ensure the site remains safe, and well-organised
    What We're Looking For:
    • Experience in a Workshop Lead, Coordinator, or Team Leader role (not mandatory)
    • Strong organisational skills with a mechanical or automotive background
    • Excellent communication
    • Confident using workshop software and Microsoft Office tools
    • Full, clean New Zealand Driver's Licence
