Douglas Furniture is a well-known and established Canterbury joinery company. Our business is locally owned and operated, has a long history and heritage in the industry, with a strength in commercial furniture & interiors.
We are currently looking to grow our team and are looking for individuals with CNC & Edgebanding skills and/or cabinet making experience.
What these roles involve:- Working with our Biesse Rover AS FT 1836 CNC machine (At least 2 years Biesse experience desirable)
- Assembling commercial & residential furniture & joinery
- Occasional on-site work - installations and furniture set up (installation experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
- Other duties as they arise
Successful candidates must be able to provide evidence of the following:- Ability to assemble cabinetry/joinery
- Ability to work on multiple jobs/production runs throughout the working day
- Working knowledge of joinery machinery
- Ability to work unsupervised
What we offer:- A full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week with periodic overtime.

You will need a full, clean drivers' licence (able to drive a manual transmission desirable but not essential) and be a NZ resident, or, have the relevant work permits that allow you to work in NZ.
