At Trident, we're specialists in vehicle modifications and mobility lift refurbishments and installations across Northland. Our work includes everything from custom drive-from vehicle conversions and hand control systems to wheelchair hoists and cargo van fit-outs.

We are currently looking for a Workshop Engineer / Technician to join our team in Whangarei.

You might come from a background in automotive, mechanical, electrical, engineering, mobility equipment, or general trades.
You'll be responsible for completing modifications / service / repairs of vehicles, powerchair, manual wheelchairs, hoist, hospital beds, commodes, air mattresses and more in the workshop and / or out on the road in the field.
You'll need:- Strong mechanical, electrical, or engineering aptitude (hands-on trade background ideal)
- Full NZ Driver's Licence (required)
- Good understanding of health & safety practices and able to work calmly under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team
- Comfortable interacting with clients in homes, healthcare settings, and workshop environments
- Physically capable of manual handling and using tools and testing equipment
- Attention to detail for documentation, safety checks, and compliance standards
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Flexible with a can do attitude and a team approach
- Industry qualifications (e.g. electrical, mechanical, panel beating, or fabrication) are a strong advantage, but relevant skills and experience in these areas will also be considered

This is a full time permanent opportunity, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
