Our client is an experienced engineering fabrication company. Their well-equipped purpose-built workshops based in Taranaki, the heart of New Zealand's energy province, offers total engineering services to a broad client base.
They're looking to add experienced Fabricators to the team in New Plymouth.
To be successful in this role, you will need:- An Engineering Trade Qualification is preferred, or at least 3 years' experience in Fabrication.
- To be quality and productivity focused
- Proficient English communication skills, including technical English
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as autonomously
- The ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings
- The ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
Duties and responsibilities include:- Measure, cut, fold, roll & fabricate metal components.
- Lay out, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using appropriate tools.
- Set-up components for welding according to specifications.
- Inspecting finished products for quality.
- Maintaining fabrication equipment.
