Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Concrete Placer / Finisher to join our team.
The successful candidate will assist in placing, levelling, and finishing concrete for various construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the placement, spreading, and levelling of concrete.
- Operate hand and power tools such as trowels, vibrators, and screeds.
- Ensure concrete surfaces are smooth, even, and properly finished.
- Mould expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
- Work closely with supervisors, site managers, and other crew members.
- Follow all health and safety regulations on-site.
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling.
- Identify and report any issues related to concrete quality or site conditions.
Key Skills & Requirements:- Experience in concrete placing, finishing, or general construction is an advantage.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of different concrete finishes (e.g., broom, smooth).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Full Class 1 drivers' licence (minimum requirement)
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
