Established in New Zealand since 1947, McMillan Drilling are one of the largest and leading multifaceted drilling companies in New Zealand. We have an opportunity for a suitably experienced Senior Driller to join our Pukekohe based team.
The role involves:- Organise all equipment and stock to be used that day which includes: consumables, pipe, job specific equipment.
- Operate the drill rig and ancillary equipment.
- Supervision, training and allocation of duties to Driller Assistant.
- Site leadership responsibilities.
- Ensure all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
- Document all time spent, technical information, consumables and equipment on site.
We are looking for people with:- Experience operating drilling rigs particularly Geoetechnical Drilling - Rotary Coring
- Experience in CPT, DMT and Seismic Testing
- Who have at least class 4 drivers licence
- A good level of physical fitness who enjoy working outdoors
- Prepared to travel to exciting and challenging work
This is a full time position (ordinary hours of 40 hours per week). An hourly rate of $33 - $36 per hour will be offered to the successful candidate.
