  • Palmerston North Office Products Depot is part of a thriving NZ company with many years' experience in the office products industry. We are a company on the move with around 120 staff, ten branches, and a passion for growth and development.

    We now have an opportunity for a Payroll / Executive Assistant to join our fantastic team.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    This is a diverse and rewarding role supporting the Chief Executive and wider team across three key areas - Payroll, HR Support and EA Duties.

    Payroll:
    • Accurately process fortnightly payroll using external systems.
    • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
    • Be the go-to for payroll queries and leave management.
    HR Support :
    • Prepare employment documentation including contracts, letters, and onboarding materials.
    • Maintain up-to-date HR templates and accurate employee records.
    • Coordinate onboarding, induction and offboarding processes.
    • Support the team with general HR admin and compliance tasks.
    Executive Assistant to the General Manager:
    • Provide high-level administrative support, including diary and email management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
    • Assist with reporting, presentations, and internal communications.
    • Be a trusted point of contact and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
    ABOUT YOU

    We're looking for someone who is:
    • Highly organised, with a methodical approach to tasks.  
    • A high level of discretion, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
    • Confident with payroll and HR processes (experience with relevant systems a plus). 
    • Able to handle multiple priorities with a calm, can-do attitude.
