|
Are you well connected in the automotive industry and passionate about helping young people get started in their careers? The Automotive Academy is looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Industry Placement Advisor to build partnerships with workshops and secure valuable work experience placements for our students.
This role is all about engaging with local automotive workshops to create hands-on learning opportunities for students. You'll be on the road visiting businesses, developing strong employer relationships, and helping connect students with the real-world experience they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage with automotive workshops and businesses to arrange student placements
- Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with employers
- Coordinate with internal staff to schedule and support weekly placements
- Promote the Academy and its students to potential host workshops
- Represent the Academy at careers expos and industry events
- Liaise with high schools to support Gateway and pre-trade engagement
What We're Looking For:- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Confidence speaking with business owners and workshop managers
- Knowledge or experience in the automotive industry
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
- Willing to travel across Auckland and nearby regions
