We're currently looking for a motivated and professional Estimator to join our team in Rangiora. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them through the vehicle repair and insurance process while delivering detailed, accurate estimates that drive the success of our repair team.
This will involve:- Welcoming customers warmly and making them feel valued from first contact
- Explaining the repair process clearly, including insurance steps and repair techniques
- Creating accurate, comprehensive repair estimates that serve as the blueprint for high-quality work
- Communicating clearly with customers, staff, and insurance partners throughout the repair process
- Managing parts ordering efficiently using PartsTrader or direct suppliers
- Reviewing final repairs and invoices for accuracy before delivery to the customer
- Helping resolve any customer concerns quickly and professionally
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to demonstrate previous experience in automotive collision repair estimating role, using computerised estimating software, ideally Panel Quote but not essential.
You will also need to have:- Strong people skills with a friendly, empathetic and professional approach
- Understanding of job costing, time management and efficiency tracking
- Hands-on repair knowledge is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Team player with clear, confident communication skills
- Ability to negotiate with insurers and deliver on customer promises
- A disciplined and proactive attitude with a strong customer-first mindset
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety responsibilities
