The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated TMP Designer, based in Auckland, with at least 2 years of industry experience and a strong understanding of risk-based principles in Temporary Traffic Management. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-paced environment, can self-manage, and enjoys working closely with clients and operations teams.
As part of our Design team, you'll be responsible for creating practical, accurate, and site-specific TMPs that prioritise both safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Create compliant, detailed Traffic Management Plans tailored to specific site and project needs
- Apply risk-based thinking to develop practical, effective traffic management solutions
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to understand project scopes and deliverables
- Manage your own workload effectively across multiple live projects
- Make necessary adjustments to plans based on feedback from site staff and stakeholders
- Stay informed on current industry practices and updates
- Participate in continuous improvement and innovation within the team
What We're Looking For:- Minimum 2 years' experience in TMP design or related traffic management planning
- Strong understanding of risk-based decision making in traffic environments
- Ability to self-manage and deliver quality outputs under pressure
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with TMP design software (e.g., RapidPlan, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to contribute to new initiatives and improvements
- Customer-focused approach with a solutions mindset
