3D Industrial is a busy machine shop based in Rotorua, specialising in large-scale manual & CNC turning, milling, and line boring. We work on a wide range of industrial and custom projects, and we're known for quality workmanship and a down-to-earth, supportive team culture.
We're on the lookout for a Fitter Turner who enjoys hands-on, practical work. Whether you're experienced and ready to hit the ground running, or newer to the trade and eager to learn, there's a place for you here.
About the role
You'll work with both CNC and manual machines to turn raw material into finished components - from one-off parts to small production runs. The work is varied, so you'll need to think on your feet and enjoy solving real-world engineering problems. Experienced team members will be available to guide you as needed, especially if you're still building your skills.
What you'll be doing:- Operating lathes and milling machines (CNC and manual)
- Reading and working from drawings and samples
- Using measuring tools to ensure precision
- Following Health & Safety procedures
What we're looking for:- 3+ years of machining experience or a strong foundation in mechanical trades with a willingness to learn
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and motivated, with a strong work ethic
- Able to work well in a team and communicate clearly
