About Guardian Steel:
Guardian Steel is an innovative new entrant into the roll forming industry tooling up to make high quality roofing product.
We are rolling out a tech enabled platform to revolutionise the supply of roofing materials to our customers and are looking for a Junior Fabricator.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role crucial to the success of Guardian Steel. In this role you'll assist our fabrication team. Training will be provided for the fabrication side, so a willingness to learn and a great attitude is key.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the cutting, folding, and assembling of metal components
- Operate basic hand and power tools (grinders, drills, shears, etc.)
- Support senior fabricators with measuring, marking, and prepping materials
- Perform spot welding or assist with welding tasks (if trained)
- Help load and unload materials for production
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following health & safety procedures
- Learn to read and interpret basic technical drawings or fabrication plans
- Carry out quality checks on completed items under supervision
- Assist with machine setup and maintenance as required
- Report damaged tools, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and production schedules
What We're Looking For:- Good physical fitness and a strong work ethic
- Some experience in a workshop or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential)
- Keen to learn and grow in the fabrication trade
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
