    Position Overview

    We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Global Partnerships Manager to drive the growth of our destination management portfolio and strengthen global partnerships across our business units. This role will play a critical part in expanding our market presence, particularly through the acquisition and development of Destination Management Contracts (DMCs) in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia.

    Based in our Ponsonby (Auckland) office, the role allows for hybrid/remote working and will involve domestic and international travel. The successful candidate will represent the Stray Group at key trade shows and events, building high-value partnerships and deepening existing relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Identify, pursue, and secure new Destination Management Contracts in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia.
    • Develop commercial proposals, partnership plans, and promotional strategies to support business development goals.
    • Represent Stray Group brands at international and domestic trade shows, events, and industry functions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, travel agencies, and other industry partners.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams (product, operations, marketing) to deliver exceptional service to partners.
    • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
    • Produce regular reports on partnership performance and pipeline development.
    Skills & Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in tourism, travel trade, or business development roles.
    • Proven track record in international partnership development or destination management sales.
    • Deep understanding of travel distribution channels and coach touring markets.
    • Existing network of industry contacts in New Zealand, Australia, and/or Asia.
    • Experience working across diverse travel segments (youth, group, premium).
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to travel internationally and work across time zones.
    • Self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
    • Experience representing brands at trade shows and building networks in a B2B environment.
