Bayes Group is a family-run transport business with decades of experience and a solid reputation across New Zealand. We operate school runs, private charters, and luxury tours around the country. But we're also leading the way in electric transport - we built NZ's first electric bus and we're not slowing down.
We're now expanding production and looking for a skilled Welder or Coach Builder to jump in and help us build our next-generation electric buses.
What You'll Be Doing:- Welding, fabricating, and assembling metal parts and body components
- Working on new electric bus builds from the ground up
- Fitting panels, structural sections, and finishing bodywork
- Reading from plans and making sure everything lines up to spec
- Keeping work clean, tidy, and up to high safety and quality standards
What's In It for You:- Steady, full-time work in a clean, well-set-up workshop
- A great bunch of people who know their stuff and work as a team
- Competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience
- A workplace on the Hibiscus Coast - easy to get to if you're local, or a great reason to relocate
- Real opportunities to move up as we keep growing
What We're Looking For:- Welding and fabrication experience
- Previous work in coach or vehicle body building is a big plus
- Good with tools, accurate, and proud of a tidy job
- Honest, reliable, and keen to get stuck in
- Health and safety aware - we don't cut corners
Whether you're already in the bus/coach industry or you've worked on trailers, trucks, or structural builds - we'd love to hear from you.
