We are a small fabrication and install business in Christchurch, who specialise in a wide variety of projects including high end custom plant and machinery for the food industry. For more insight into what we do as a business please visit www.sesltd.co.nz.
We would like to hear from people with excellent knowledge and experience in engineering repair and maintenance, an ability to analyse problems, identify faults and implement effective solutions on a timely basis. People with good initiative, who are self-motivated and capable of working both independently and in a team environment, someone with excellent communication skills, who is organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a sometimes-challenging environment is the sort of person we are looking for.
We currently have openings for full time, experienced, Stainless and Mild Steel Fabricators who can hit the ground running.
The successful candidate will have the following preferred skills / attributes:- Be fully trade qualified or highly experienced
- Able to fabricate complete products to a high standard of workmanship using a variety of materials including mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel
- Be skilled across multiple types of welding including MIG & TIG
- Competent using general hand tools, drills, disc grinders etc.
- Self-motivated, reliable, committed, and punctual with a great positive attitude
- Able to listen to instructions carefully, work well under pressure / time constraints and have good communication skills
- Able to read and follow drawings accurately
- Able to use your initiative and take ownership of projects including finding solutions while problem solving
- Be H&S conscious and maintain and safe and clean workspace
- A current driver's licence, be able to pass a drugs test, and be a resident able to work in NZ
- As we regularly work all over New Zealand, you will need to be willing and able to travel.
Hours of work will be Monday - Friday from 7am - 3:30pm. It is preferred that you are available to work overtime and weekends from time to time.
