    • Oceanbridge is a privately owned New Zealand company, employing over 200 people throughout New Zealand and Australia. We have offices in Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. We specialise in the shipping and freight business on an international level.

    We have a full time permanent Customer Services opportunity available within our Christchurch team.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with extensive import freight experience to provide exceptional service to our customers. In order to hit the ground running, you'll need 3+ years previous experience in a similar role in NZ.

    There is plenty of variety and you'll be supported by a great team who are passionate about providing first class service. An immediate start is available.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Handling customer enquiries and identifying best service options
    • Preparing quotes and maintaining rate cards
    • Order management - handling  import bookings, (mainly sea freight with some air and courier), liaising with overseas agents, monitoring shipments and invoicing
    • Customer reporting
    • Arranging deliveries and liaising with Customs Brokers on clearances
    To be considered you will need the following technical skills:
    • Sound knowledge of Incoterms and supply chain systems
    • 3+ years relevant NZ freight industry experience and import sea operations knowledge
    • Computer literate with good keyboard skills. 
    • Positive attitude and sense of humour
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong time management and attention to detail and ability to multi task
    Experience with CargoWise1 is preferred but not essential.
