We are looking for motivated and capable Storepeople to join our warehousing team in Auckland. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive, values-driven business with a long-standing reputation for quality and care.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:- Carefully inspect all goods being handled and report any damage or fault immediately
- Record all breakages, damages, and bin movements on the appropriate form without delay
- Handle and operate company property such as stock, plant and equipment, forklift, and vehicles safely and with due care; report any damage to the appropriate supervisor
- Cut products for preparation of despatch (full training provided)
- Pick, pack, and despatch orders accurately, following all special instructions and ensuring documentation accompanies all outgoing goods
- Serve customers collecting goods and provide a high level of service to support the sales team
- Follow MPI processes for inwards goods if AP qualified
- Unload containers according to the schedule directed by the Inwards Goods Coordinator
- Process IGA's for all incoming goods on the day of receipt
- Inform management of packaging levels such as cores
- Participate in stocktakes as directed by the Stock Controller
- Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment
- Engage in structured or self-led learning as part of ongoing professional development
What We're Looking For
You are organised, accurate, and bring a hands-on, "can-do" attitude to your work. You're known for your reliability, attention to detail, and readiness to go the extra mile. You'll also bring:- A valid Forklift Licence (refresher training can be provided)
- Basic computer literacy
- Experience in warehousing and stock control
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting (flooring products can be heavy)
- Previous experience in a dry goods warehouse (preferred but not essential)
