About Guardian Steel:
Guardian Steel is an innovative new entrant into the roll forming industry tooling up to make high quality roofing product. We are rolling out a tech enabled platform to revolutionise the supply of roofing materials to our customers and are looking for a passionate and experienced Class 2 Driver / Storeman / Junior Fabricator.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role crucial to the success of Guardian Steel. In this role you'll split your time between driving deliveries, managing inwards/outwards goods, and assisting our fabrication team. Training will be provided for the fabrication side, so a willingness to learn and a great attitude is key.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating a Class 2 vehicle for deliveries and collections
- Managing warehouse inventory, stocktakes, and general organisation
- Loading/unloading materials safely and efficiently
- Assisting the fabrication team with cutting, assembly, and general workshop duties
- Keeping the yard and workshop tidy and safe
- Liaising with suppliers and customers in a professional manner
What we're looking for:- Full NZ Class 2 driver's licence (required)
- Good physical fitness and a strong work ethic
- Some experience in a workshop or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with a gantry crane and hiab truck (or willingness to learn / upskill)
- Forklift licence an advantage
- Keen to learn and grow in the fabrication trade
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
