Men's Residential Service

For over 35 years, Odyssey House Christchurch has had a mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals, family and community affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issues
At our men's residential service in Burnside, we are supporting men in their alcohol and drug treatment and recovery.
In this role, you will:- Work along side our residents in their day to day activities.
- Co-ordinate the house schedule and make appointments for residents
- Take part in community activities including meal preparation and recreation activities
- Facilitate groups as scheduled
- Ensure the house is running smoothly
- Manage administration processes for medications, purchases and resident requests
To be successful in this role, you will:- Be a qualified Support Worker or working towards a Level 4 qualification
- Experience working with clients in the mental health or addiction sector
- Have excellent organisation skills, being able to respond to proactive and reactive requirements of the residents
- Be competent with computers and databases
- Show good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, family/whanau, colleagues, and other health providers.
- Full drivers licence required.
- Have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
