    Opportunity:
    This is a permanent position, based in Tauranga, working in Tauranga, Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty and South Waikato regions. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday (minimum 30 hours per week), with an hourly rate reflective of your relevant experience.

    About You:
    You will need to have a minimum 3 years experience OR Level 4 Scaffolding Qualification.

    You will also:
    • love working at heights,
    • have a very logical and methodical approach,
    • be fit and healthy with the ability to pass a pre-employment and possible ongoing drug and alcohol test/s.
    • be a true team player with a great sense of humour, and
    • have a genuine personal investment into Health & Safety.
    The Job:
    You will be required to install and dismantle scaffold and edge protection on both residential and commercial construction sites. This also includes monitoring health and safety for yourself and others, driving company vehicles, maintaining clean and tidy vehicles and yard, and representing the VergeNZ brand to customers and public with pride.

    Key Tasks:
    • Loading and unloading scaffolding equipment from yard to job site and vice versa.
    • Securing a stable base for scaffolding.
    • Erecting scaffolding of various configurations.
    • Dismantling and removing scaffold and edge protection upon completion.
    • Laying planks for workers to walk on.
    • Assist in identifying hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, working practicing codes and policies.
    We are looking for New Zealand citizens or residents. You must state in your CV that you are a New Zealand citizen or resident.
