Established in New Zealand since 1947, McMillan Drilling are one of the largest and leading multifaceted drilling companies in New Zealand. We have opportunities for drillers to join our Southbridge based team.
The role involves:- Organise all equipment and stock to be used that day which includes: consumables, pipe, job specific equipment.
- Operate the drill rig and ancillary equipment.
- Supervision, training and allocation of duties to Driller Assistant.
- Site leadership responsibilities.
- Ensure all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
- Document all time spent, technical information, consumables and equipment on site.
We are looking for people with:- Experience operating drilling rigs particularly Sonic rigs
- Experience operating drilling auxiliary equipment
- Who have at least class 2 drivers licence
- A good level of physical fitness who enjoy working outdoors
- Prepared to travel to exciting and challenging work
This is a full time position (guaranteed 40 hours per week). An hourly rate of $33 - $36 per hour will be offered to the successful candidate.
